Trinomia piece was awarded in the choreography contest of Kajaani Dance
TrinomiaI

In February 2013 Trinomia was awarded a shared first prize in the international choreography contest of Kajaani Dance.

VäkeväCollective was established in 2012 to work as contemporary art platform for dancers, musicians and stage designers. The collective members share a common interest in the possibilities of Finnish folklore. Their aim is to approach tradition through the means of performing arts and to establish new structures for professional activity in the field of folk art. Strongly rooted in tradition, the collective is continuously searching for contemporary stage expressions and new concepts to shuffle the already known with what is yet untouched. The Finnish word Väkevä means strong or powerful. It also has another meaning, referring to folk and people.

The Väkevä dancers are educated diversely in the areas of contemporary and folk dance, choreography and pedagogy. The core of their expertise, based on pair dance and contact work, derives from strong experience in the movement material and choreographical form of Finnish folk dance.

VäkeväKollektiivi on vuonna 2012 perustettu yhteisö, jonka tarkoituksena on toimia eri taiteenlajeja edustavien nuorten yhteisenä toiminta-alustana.
